Prior to winning the Tony Award for his electrifying performance as the Genie in Broadway’s Aladdin, TheatreWorks veteran James Monroe Iglehart graced our stage in Big River, It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues, Into the Woods, Ragtime, Bat Boy, and Caroline, or Change. In addition, he enjoyed a 3-year run as Bobby in Memphis on Broadway after originating the role at TheatreWorks.

In honor of Proof, our upcoming mathematical drama, we here at TWSV have decided to give you a little problem to solve using your knowledge of our production history!
Each factor in this equation has something to do with a subset of the productions TWSV has produced over the years.
A equals the number of Sondheim musicals produced here at TWSV in which he wrote both the music and the lyrics.
B equals the number of Shakespeare plays produced, not including musicals inspired by Shakespeare. We’ll cheat a little bit and give you the answer to that one, which is 22.
Then there’s C, which equals the number of nomination received by Triangle at the 2015 the TBA Awards.
D equals the total number of TheatreWorks productions to date, including Proof.
Just like the graphic below asks, can YOU solve the equation?
