Our Playmakers take the stage during their Open Workshop!
While the leaves are starting to fall here in Silicon Valley during the month of October, it’s time to start getting excited about our spring and summer offerings for students!
Students have fun during our Characters at Play Spring Break Camp.
Our teaching artists are taking over 2 schools for a totally fun and theatrical spring break. These one-week camps focus on all the tools from the actor’s toolbox: body, voice, and imagination. The camp culminates in an Open Workshop performance where campers show-off their new theatre skills. Book now to make sure your little “Character” is spending their spring with TheatreWorks!
Teaching Artist Amanda Johnson leads an Open Workshop with the students of the Playmakers Summer Camp.
When your regular school is out for summer, PlayMakers is in session! Our professional Teaching Artists are experienced and trained performers who are eager to share their theatrical expertise. A typical day consists of students rotating between classes that teach life-long performance skills.
At the end of the session the entire camp gathers together to show off their freshly acquired skills, giving students time to relish in their new mastery of improvisation, the latest dance step, a scene they have just written, or the character they have created.
The 7-9th grade students of the Hambly Track of our Summer Studio pose during their production of Lysa.
